Rabbi Betzalel Mendelson

Ezer Yoldot Hamercazi began 10 years ago with a group of 5 dedicated women who saw the need to help other women in the Settlement of Beitar Illit in the Gush Etzion Bloc. Being a unique community, Beitar Illit had needs, which could not be met by already existing organizations. They cooked meals for families in need, both for joyous occasions as well as for tragedies and delivered them. As the settlement of Beitar Illit grew into a city and word spread of this activity among the other settlements in Gush Etzion, these dedicated women brought in other women to assist them. Eventually the need outgrew their resources and they asked the Rabbis and community leaders to find a person who was qualified to to take over this activity and provide it in a more professional manner.

The Rabbis and community leaders of Beitar turned to Rabbi Betzalel Mendelson to undertake this major project.

Rabbi Mendelson was born in Tel Aviv and raised in Brooklyn , NY. The son of Rabbi Shmuel Mendelson, a renowned scholar and founder and Director of Lmaan Acheinu Institutions. Rabbi Betzalel Mendelson was raised  in an environment of Torah and Chesed     (acts of kindness). Rabbi Betzalel Mendelson became a confidant of  The Late Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan zt"l  and Yibadel Lchaim, Rabbi Chaim Greineman Shlit"a.

He brings to Ezer Yoldot many years of experience serving as an advisor to both Rabbis and businessmen. He has many contacts in the areas of Healthcare and social work.

His experience and contacts have helped Ezer Yoldot Hamercazi become the largest charitable organization in Beitar Illit.
