Beit Hachlama Recuperation Stay

  On the advice of our medical advisory committee we have re-instituted our Beit Hachlama- Recuperation Facility Stay fund which  is inclusive of many of the needs of new mothers after birth. (meals, medical care, baby supplies, recuperation, etc.)

   As we are sure you are aware, women with large families need Longer periods of recuperation after birth both physically and emotionally. Going home to a large family and resuming household duty immediately is very difficult. Just knowing that she will go to a convalescent home for a few days raises her spirits and helps her to face coming home with a new baby with a stronger spirit. In the Recuperation Facility she has no worries just rest. Meals and medical care for both her and the  new baby are provided and the baby is in a relaxed nursery environment under the care of the nurses there except for the times when the mother wants to bond with the baby and feed it or let family visit in a relaxed atmosphere. Sometimes this can be a matter of life and death for the mother who  had a hard birth.
